The Lifestyle Post #26: Something sweet for Christmas

With Christmas just around the corner (I've got my dairy milk advent calendar ready and raring to go for tomorrow!), it's time to start thinking about what you want to get the people you love most. I have to say I am a bit of a present buying enthusiast and no matter how many hints or ideas people give me, I love the challenge of getting someone something they love but won't expect... but that ain't always so simple!
When you are buying for lots of people, it's easy to feel like you get into a routine of buying the same old thing so I try and keep a look out for presents that are a little bit different.
A few weeks ago I stumbled across just that when I found Great Bakes. Great Bakes is a family run artisan baking business, which makes the most delicious flapjacks and brownies. What's so different about that? Well they will deliver for free to anywhere in the UK!
They have loads of different flavours to choose from including classic, peanut butter and salted fudge brownies along with their famous "sticky jack" flapjack. Also, especially for Christmas they have a limited edition ginger brownie, the perfect gift for anyone with a sweet tooth!
When you order your sweet treat it comes beautifully wrapped and packaged in a silver tin that can be kept and reused for your own bakes, and for the ultimate cake lover in your life - you can even order 3 month, 6 month or 12 month subscriptions to the Great Bakes club - giving them a monthly dose of their favourite bakes. I think this is such a cute idea and although I'm partial to a nice bunch of roses - a Great Bakes tin would definitely make a nice alternative to flowers or chocolates, if you fancied something a little bit different.

Have you started your Christmas shopping yet?
