The Lifestyle Post #12: Festive Red Cups with Starbucks

In case you hadn't noticed, there has been a bit of an impromptu break over in my little corner of the internet but this means I have some great stuff to fill you in on from the last month or so starting with an exciting meet up I had with Starbucks at Selfridges a few weeks ago to sample some of their delicious new festive menu.

I headed down on my lunch break with one of my best friends Nat from Beauty Baking and Babbling to see what we thought of the new range.
Now, as I am sure you are all aware by now the red cups are BACK and this also means the arrival of 4 festive drinks to keep you warm and cosy while you are powering through all the Christmas shopping. You can choose from returning old favourites Gingerbread Latte, Toffee Nut Latte or Eggnog Latte or try the new for this year drink their Honey and Almond Hot Chocolate, complete with chocolate flavoured whipped cream. I have to say although the eggnog latte is still the best Christmas drink ever in my eyes, the Honey and Almond Hot Chocolate was delicious and will definitely be my drink of choice if I'm not in a coffee kinda' mood!

Especially for Christmas, Starbucks are also doing a limited edition Christmas Blend of coffee which contains spicy, cedary and syrupy flavours to give your drink a bit of a festive kick. You can also buy packs of the Christmas Blend beans to take away and use in your coffee machines at home - the perfect gift for any caffeine lover! We tried a little sip in an Americano and even though black Americano's are waaaay too strong for me - the flavour of the coffee was actually really nice and definitely tasted of Christmas!

To compliment the drinks there is also a great selection of yummy festive food including a Turkey and Bacon Feast Panini, a Christmas Club Sandwich and some delicious cakes. I had a taste of the Ginger Loaf Slice and the Cranberry, Orange and White Chocolate Cookie, both of which went down far too easily - nothing wrong with pudding for lunch, right?

If that's not enough for you, Starbucks have also got a range of gold and glittery mugs and travel cups especially for the festive season (my gold travel cup is my new best friend!) and if you head to Starbucks in Selfridges your drink will be topped with their own gold glitter sprinkles to wish you a Merry Christmas!

So if you need some festive fuel to help fight your way through the Christmas shopping crowds or you are still on the hunt for the perfect Christmas gift for a coffee lover then definitely pop in and have a look!

What's your favourite of the new Red Cups?
